From a very young age, Ashley was always creating – whether it be crafts, or drawing and painting.
She has three artistic loves – crocheting, embroidery and painting. All of her creative endeavours calm her.
Ashley creates silences in a loud and busy world. She is inspired by shapes and nature, and aims to create a sense of comfort and serenity when viewing her work. Her paintings are primarily acrylic, also focusing on shapes – both organic and geometric. You will often find layers upon layers of acrylic paint washes and drippings of water. Serene and harmonious colours play a dominant role in her work.
